‘I have always held an appreciation for photography and remember very well being fascinated by a box brownie camera my Grandfather had, but it was only after moving to New Zealand from the UK in 2002 that I began to explore photography more. I stumbled across the website ‘Art Limited’ and discovered some extraordinarly photographers, Xavier Rey, Denis Olivier, Luca Lacche, Pierre Pellegrini and many other who continue to inspire me today. I discovered Michael Kenna and Rolfe Horn and began to understand what photography could be.
I became frustrated with my limitations and stopped shooting altogether for a couple of years but again recently and after moving to Australia my passion has been rekindled. I enjoy experimenting with long exposures and living on the coast obviously lends itself to exploring seascapes and beach life in particular’.
